Privacy and Cookie Policy

Edinburgh WNBR does not request or keep any personal data about you on this site. Visitors are unable to create accounts, log in, or make transactions. We do not collect any information about you or share your details with any other parties.

Cookies

This site only uses the standard cookies supplied as part of WordPress and its plugins. These are small text files that are placed on your machine to help the site provide a better user experience. We make no use of those cookies.

In general, cookies are used to retain user preferences, store information for things like shopping carts, and provide anonymised tracking data to third party applications like Google Analytics. As a rule, cookies make your browsing experience better. In our case, they have little use or relevance since we do not give you the ability to log in, browse products, or buy things etc.

However, you may prefer to disable cookies on this site and on others. The most effective way to do this is to disable cookies in your browser. We suggest consulting the Help section of your browser or taking a look at the About Cookies website which offers guidance for all modern browsers.

Messages and E-mail

You can contact us in many ways. If you send us a message by our contact form, email, or messaging services (e.g. Facebook), your message will be handled by the system you used and may be retained by it. Also, if you have posted on social media in response to our posts or us, your message will be kept by that system. We reserve the right to block or delete posts to the extent permitted by law. Please bear in mind that Edinburgh WNBR has no interest in sexual activities or content.

Volunteers and Helpers

We encourage and welcome volunteers. Nobody is paid to run Edinburgh WNBR – we are all volunteers working for free. You may have contacted us through the Edinburgh WNBR Facebook group or by email. Your details will be kept so we can contact you and manage your contributions. All such information is held offline and cannot be accessed through our online system. It is also our usual practice not to identify volunteers by their full name or share their contact details except with their explicit consent (e.g. so ride leaders can be contacted by marshals during the ride).
